Of course it sort of goes without saying how much I enjoyed this story, Nick. And of course I am a little flattered to be included! Although I would imagine if I was in that role I would've been secretly working for the Russians. So I'd give a different location for Putin in my report, so he survives. And then surreptitiously leave the building and get me to my bunker. Hypersonic missiles aren't to be messed with!
On another note, it does indeed feel like revelatory times. As you're aware I've been writing about it a lot. I seriously doubt I'll finish the parallel world version before the Rapture happens. Oh well.
I also agree with some of the other commenters - it had a good cinematic quality to it which is something you also know I like!
Thanks Evelyn! when i was deciding how to bring spying into it indid immediately think of your Katy writing and knew the intelligence officer had to have your name. didn't think about you being a double agent however... it wouldn't have stopped the apocalypse though!
Omg, Nick! This is amazing!! Each location is woven in so beautifully together and love the inclusion of current affairs. Talking birds really would explain a lot about Putin! 😂
Oh thank you so much Nicole! it's the best feeling when another writer tells you they like your work. im still finding little mistakes in it but i was pleased the pieces came together in the end... a lot of the characters are real people... Gromov. Budanov, Kontidis, Chandler, Waziri (and Brunswick hehehe) doing those actual jobs right now... tried to make it bang up to date. love an apocalypse, me! merry christmas to you and yours Nicole... im waiting for the partridge in the pear tree !!! i wish these were in a little book... they are all SO BRILLIANT 😁
Tight, taught, tense, and incredibly unnerving. This read as cinematic in a good way. The surrealist aspects of it all were stated so plain and with such certainty after you'd established authority I didn't bother to question them. The Magpie talking to the Russian. Lots of symbolism and layers of meaning, a torte to cut through. I quite enjoyed the detailing, sparse but exact. And I think it was a fantastic story. Jesus, but that ending, woo. Splendid piece.
Wow. This really goes there! That ending. Hell yeah!
Thanks Andy 😎

Very nicely done!

Wild and close-to-home, I think that’s what makes this story ring so true and scary — it’s believable and barely fiction
thanks keith...that was exactly what i was aiming for...glad you liked it 😎

I couldn't out this down for a single second!!

Haha I love an apocalypse, too 😅
A book is such a good idea!!! I would definitely buy it!

Emil... always to be trusted to see the little touches my friend.Thank you so much for your time to read this and give me such encouraging feedback 🙏😎
Wow! The heralds of the apocalypse! Truly terrifying. And on such an epic scale!
This felt like a political thriller, horror story, and prophecy all in one. Very well done!
Thanks Garen! i so enjoyed the dark Tidings thank you so much for making it happen!
My pleasure, Nick! Thank you for participating!
The Cardinal/angel! Good golly! This, in light of our world today, was terrifying! Brilliantly done.
Thanks Liz! 🙏
Wonderful, horrifying, impossible to forget. "The birds take flight." I just hope you're not a prophet...
me too... but times are foreboding aren't they...
That they are. The stuff of nightmare in real life.
so cinematic! I love the birds calling doom.
Thanks EJ! almost every character is an actual living person in the role described...so its great you felt it was Cinematic!
I feel like we might be approaching some sort of end times for real with the gang of bastards in charge everywhere...so this was what inspired me.
Apocalyp Nick! Doom and dread in good measure. I love how the horsemen have calling birds. Very ominous storytelling.
thanks Jon! struggled with it a bit but I couldn't shake off the idea. proud to be part of this dirty dozen!
