Accessories are always helpful, I find. Especially wine. In moderation, obviously. Moderation isn’t something I’m particularly good at, though.

Awesome story! You left just a hint of wriggle room at the end, but I'm pretty sure them boys are doomed...

the original idea never quite worked its way out of the finger tips...so a different ending came out almost last minute... "bully beef" you say...hmmmm

That's what it sounded like to me!

Luuuuuv it. Reminded of The Lighthouse movie scene “Bad luck to kill a seabird…”

Joke for ya: What’s a pirates favorite letter?

You say R? Well, everyone thinks that but it isn’t.

They never get that far in the alphabet because the spend too much time on the C.

oh.. and that joke is one of my faves... when anyone staaaarghts the pirate jokes off I get all excited waiting for the right moment to drop the "No...thatll be the C" line.

Thanks keith! so glad you liked it. was supposed to have a bit of the chicken corn and fox puzzle in it as to how the boat crews were endlessly ferrying themselves to their own deaths... but i couldn't quite formulate it as i went along... so the end is a bit of cop out and its clichéd to death by pirate tropes but i enjoyed it all the same.
