It's the deadpan nature of AI which works so well when juxtaposed against that sort of thing. Perhaps we could start a thing going where we have competitions with AI to rewrite some of our stories. We could start a new genre! It’d go viral! We’d make money!

Justification for breaking out the AI in this instance and burning up the wattage/evaporating the drinking water seems to be approximately zero.
Oh, and this is not what the Turing test would be. A true Turing test would be to ask the AI what it's feeling, and then what it's feeling about being asked to describe what it's feeling, and so on. An AI would go on faking that forever, but a human would break at some point and ask you why you're taking the piss.
